L'unico: Part 3
The continuation of the story

In the morning, Jade gathered his belongings and joined his mother for their planned trip to a rustic farm. They had decided to spend a week at a hotel by the sea, hoping the change of scenery would be therapeutic for Jade. The idea ofthe peaceful farm and the soothing ocean was a welcome distraction from the recent upheaval in Jade's life. As they arrived at the train station, Faty purchased two cups of coffee to sustain them through the journey. Jade, though seemingly composed, was still grappling with the shock of recent events. The doctor’s diagnosis and his mother’s insistence on spiritual intervention had left him feeling unsettled. He sipped his coffee, lost in thought, as they waited for the train.
When the train finally arrived, Jade and his mother boarded and found their seats. The rhythmic clatter of the train on the tracks provided a comforting background noise. Jade gazed out the window, watching the urban landscape gradually give way to the countryside. The scenic view, with its rolling hills and distant mountains, offered a semblance of tranquility he desperately needed. His mother sat beside him, occasionally glancing at Jade, her face a mixture of concern and hope.
During the journey, they spoke intermittently, discussing their plans for the week ahead. They looked forward to exploring the farm, enjoying fresh air, and spending time near the sea.
Faty believed that the pastoral setting and proximity to nature would be beneficial for Jade's mental health. She hoped that the simplicity of farm life would provide him with a respite from his worries.
Despite his ongoing inner turmoil, Jade tried to focus on the positives of their trip. He knew that his mother had arranged this getaway with the best intentions, and he was determined to make the most of it. The thought of walking along the beach, feeling the sand beneath his feet and the salty breeze on his face, brought a small measure of comfort. He imagined
the calmness of the sea might mirror a calmness he could find within himself.
As the train continued its journey, Jade’s thoughts oscillated between the events that had shaken him and the potential for healing that lay ahead. He was grateful for his mother’s unwavering support and her efforts to help him recover. The train ride, with its steady, predictable motion, offered a metaphor for his desired path forward: one of steady progress and hopeful anticipation.
Upon arrival at their destination, Jade felt a sense of cautious optimism. The farm and the sea awaited them, promising a week of new experiences and opportunities for reflection. Jade hoped that this trip would mark the beginning of a positive shift in his life, allowing him to process his recent experiences and find a way to move forward. With his mother by his side, he stepped off the train, ready to embrace whatever the coming days would bring.
They started their journey, Jade sat in his spot next to the window an started to contemplate in the nature, and once again he got drown in his imagination, he strated to ask this questions in his mind side: 'what's all about this nature , I hear people speaking and having differnet conversations, what's all this about, children are yelling and playing, what if.....? what if suddenly the train overturned and we all just die? how would this feel, what would be this pain, is it going to hurt a lot, what about this big tunnel I have seen yesterday an that scenery , are we all going to be there? Are there some people here that would be thrown in this hell place? oh my god that would be painful, why all of this was made and what is life and death is all about, he kept askin and askin himself till his
Mom woke him up: Jade, wake up son , you must have been absent minded, we're close to arrive ,look son ,here's this beautful landscape, look at the river there, we're going to have a good time here. Come on honey let's get outside the train.
Jade and Faty descended from the train and quickly hailed a taxi, continuing their journey beyond the town to their hotel. The weather was pristine, with a clear, brilliant sky and a gentle breeze that hinted at the tranquility of their destination. As they arrived at the hotel, they were greeted by a picturesque setting: the establishment nestled within a vast forest, bordered by a large, flowing river. The surroundings were serene, with the sounds of nature providing a soothing backdrop.
At the hotel reception, they checked in and were pleasantly surprised to be given a spacious room on the second floor. The room's location offered a perfect vantage point to take in the scenic beauty around them. After settling in, Jade decided to step outside to fully immerse himself in the natural surroundings. He found a comfortable chair and brought it outside, positioning it to face the sea. Sitting there, he took deep breaths of the fresh, invigorating air, feeling a sense of calm begin to wash over him.
For a moment, Jade was completely absorbed in the beauty of his environment. The vastness of the sea stretched out before him, its rhythmic waves creating a mesmerizing, calming effect. The forest, with its towering trees and the gentle rustling of leaves, added to the sense of peace. The river flowed gracefully nearby, its surface glistening under the sunlight. This moment of contemplation amidst nature's
splendor was exactly what Jade needed. It provided a stark contrast to the turmoil he had been experiencing, offering a glimmer of hope and the promise of healing.
As he sat there, Jade felt a connection to the natural world that seemed to ground him. The simplicity and purity of the scene were a welcome escape from the complexities of his thoughts and worries. The hotel’s location, surrounded by such raw beauty, seemed like the perfect place to begin his journey of recovery. With each breath of fresh air, he felt a little more at ease, a little more hopeful about the future.
Faty joined him after a while, sitting beside him and sharing in the quiet appreciation of their surroundings. They spoke softly, their conversation blending seamlessly with the sounds of nature. Jade appreciated his mother's presence and her efforts to help him find peace. Together, they watched as the sun began to set, casting a golden hue over the sea and forest, marking the end of their first day in this serene haven.
