The CCTV That Shows Tomorrow.

Naveed worked night shifts as a security operator in a large corporate building.

His job was simple.

Watch the CCTV monitors.

Report anything unusual.

Most nights were boring.

Empty hallways.

Silent offices.

Occasional cleaners walking around.

Nothing ever happened.

Until one night… something did.

It was 2:13 AM.

Naveed sat in front of twelve screens, sipping tea, half asleep.

Then he noticed something strange on Camera 6.

The hallway light flickered.

That wasn’t unusual.

But then—

A person walked across the hallway.

Naveed straightened up.

“Who’s that?”

No one was supposed to be on that floor.

He zoomed in.

The figure looked like a man in formal clothes.

Walking slowly.

Calmly.

Almost… too calmly.

Naveed reached for the intercom.

“Security to Floor 3, identify yourself.”

No response.

only Silence.

He grabbed his flashlight and headed upstairs.

When he reached Floor 3, the hallway was empty.

No one there.

No movement.

No sound.

Naveed frowned.

“I just saw someone…”

He checked every room.

Nothing.

Completely empty.

Confused, he returned to the control room.

And froze.

On Camera 6—

The hallway was empty.

But something else was happening.

The timestamp on the screen read:

02:14 AM

Naveed looked at his watch.

02:13 AM

His heart skipped.

“That’s… not possible.”

The camera was showing the future.

Exactly one minute ahead.

Naveed leaned closer.

On the screen, at 02:14—

He saw himself.

Walking into the hallway.

Exactly what he had just done.

But then—

Something else appeared.

Behind him.

A tall shadow.

Following him.

Naveed’s blood ran cold.

He slowly turned toward the empty room behind him.

Nothing.

He looked back at the screen.

The shadow was still there.

Standing behind his future self.

Moving closer.

Naveed’s breathing became heavy.

He didn’t want to believe it.

But he couldn’t ignore it.

The CCTV was showing what was about to happen.

He watched carefully.

02:15 AM.

On the screen—

His future self stopped walking.

As if sensing something.

Then slowly turned around.

The shadow figure stood directly behind him.

Its shape unnatural.

Too tall.

Too thin.

Its arms too long.

The future Naveed tried to run.

But the shadow grabbed him.

The screen glitched violently.

Static filled the monitor.

Then—

Nothing.

Empty hallway.

Naveed stumbled back from the desk.

“No… no… this isn’t real…”

His eyes locked on the clock.

02:14 AM.

One minute left.

He grabbed his keys.

“I need to get out of here.”

He rushed toward the exit.

But the hallway outside the control room felt different.

Longer.

Darker.

The lights flickered.

He stopped.

Slowly turned back toward the CCTV room.

The door behind him had disappeared.

Panic filled his chest.

He ran forward.

But every turn led him back to the same hallway.

Same flickering light.

Same silence.

His watch ticked loudly.

02:15 AM.

The exact moment he saw on the screen.

Naveed froze.

Slowly…

He felt it.

Behind him.

A presence.

Cold.

Heavy.

Breathing.

He didn’t want to turn around.

But he knew he had to.

Very slowly—

He turned.

And saw it.

The shadow.

Standing right behind him.

Taller than any human.

Its face invisible.

Its body shifting like smoke.

“You saw it too early,” it whispered.

Naveed’s voice trembled.

“What are you?”

The shadow tilted its head.

“I am what comes next.”

The lights exploded into darkness.

The CCTV monitors went blank.

The next morning, the building staff found the control room empty.

No signs of struggle.

No broken doors.

Nothing unusual.

Except one thing.

On Camera 6, recorded at exactly 02:15 AM—

A shadow stood in the hallway.

Looking directly into the camera.
