The Door That Shouldn’t Exist

Every night, it appeared… and every night, it came closer

By Waleed khanPublished about 19 hours ago 1 min read

Sana lived alone in a quiet apartment at the end of the hallway.

She knew every corner of her home—every wall, every shadow.

But one night, she noticed a door where no door had ever been.

It stood at the far end of her living room, slightly open.

“Maybe I’m just tired,” she whispered, turning away.

The next morning, the door was gone.

She laughed it off, blaming stress and lack of sleep.

But the following night, the door returned—closer this time.

This time, she felt it… a cold air leaking from inside.

She stepped toward it, her heart pounding loudly in her chest.

From within, she heard faint whispers calling her name.

“Sana…” the voice echoed, almost familiar.

Her hand trembled as she reached for the handle.

Suddenly, the whispers turned into desperate knocking—from inside.

She jumped back, fear gripping her like ice.

“Let me out…” the voice begged, now clearer.

It sounded exactly like her.

The door creaked open wider on its own.

She saw a figure inside… staring back at her with her own face.

The next night, the door appeared inside her bedroom—right beside her bed.
