Choosing Strength in Peace and Kindness

I say something.

I speak a thought, just as I feel it.

I get a comment.

The answer comes quickly,

but there is a bad connection.

Something I didn’t say,

something I didn’t mean,

something added between the lines.

I see it immediately.

But I don’t feel like explaining.

I don’t feel like fixing other people’s conclusions,

unraveling assumptions,

defending a sentence that was already clear.

And there, the third word is born.

The one that stays inside me.

Unspoken, silent, but heavy.

Not because it isn’t important,

but because I am tired of constant explaining.

Tired of having to prove

what I didn’t say.

But when the third word is silent,

the bad connection starts living its own life.

It becomes someone’s truth.

And next time, words don’t collide anymore,

but versions of reality.

Maybe I don’t need explanations.

Maybe sometimes it is enough to say just:

“You connected it wrong.”

And stop.

Without discussion.

Without proof.

fact or fiction
