I fall up

You fall in

No plummet

No nosedive

becomes an epic.

We did: water rising to meet sky,

propelling us through the blues,

each wave reaching a different stretch of sand,

some ill-timed rides tumbling us into the wave, pounded into

the silty bottom, salt stinging airways invaded by turbulence,

Buoyancy surfacing, finding the place where the tide pulls

just right, rising again, taking flight.

Gods for a moment.
