Tears running, down my face

As I let out, all of my pain and sadness

With a weep

My soul has felt, so much numbness

From the horrible things you’ve said, and done

It’s as if I have no soul,

Once beautiful,

now has turned, into dust

The room I was once in,

is now dark and cold

Like my soul,

With tears running, down my face

Without even a whimper,

Ah, Jennifer. This says it so richly and plainly. Numbness is the hardest emotion of them all.
