Traveler of Worlds Beyond

Could this be my guide or maybe my soul mate?

Traveler of Worlds Beyond

I walked where the sky forgets its name,

through doors that opened without a sound,

past stars that bled into one another,

like secrets too heavy to be kept.

My feet learned the language of dust,

each step a question, each breath a vow,

that I would not turn from the unknown,

even when it turned and stared at me.

There were rivers that ran with memory,

cold and silver against my skin,

they whispered of lives I never lived,

yet felt like scars beneath my ribs.

I carried no map, no compass of truth,

only the pull of something unseen,

a calling that echoed through bone and marrow,

older than time, deeper than fear.

I met shadows that spoke in quiet tones,

they knew my name before I did,

they asked me why I kept moving forward,

when stillness would have been kinder.

But I am not made for standing still,

I am stitched from restless fire and storm,

a wanderer bound to no single sky,

a soul that refuses to close its eyes.

Worlds unfolded like fragile pages,

some burned, some drowned, some frozen in grief,

and I walked them all with trembling hands,

touching the edges of what could be.

In one, I saw myself as a stranger,

in another, I never existed at all,

and somewhere between those broken mirrors,

I found a truth I could not hold.

That I am both lost and found at once,

a question carved into endless night,

a traveler of worlds beyond reason,

still searching for a place called home.

And if I never find that resting ground,

if the stars keep shifting beneath my gaze,

then let me wander until I fade,

a quiet echo between all things.
