Kelloggs Rice Krispies: Classic television commercial
Kelloggs Rice Krispies Commercial: A trip down memory lane "No more Rice Krispies, w'eve run out of Rice Krispies." "My tears will not stop, until I hear snap, crackle pop." These words being sung to the tune of tenor aria "Vesti la giubba" from the opera Pagliacci are etched in the minds of those who recall the popular 1960s television commercial. Actor Johnny Haymer who portrayed Staff Seargent Zelmo Zale on M*A*S*H is the man with the operatic voice. On the long-running television series, Zale was an electrician and knew how to get the camp generator up and running after it went out. He also could get the jukebox pump out more tunes and had a long-standing feud with Corporal Maxwell Q Klinger (Jamie Farr).

The Young and the Restless: Fans are angered over references to Paul Williams
The Young and the Restless: Fans continue to be outraged The Young and the Restless has caused distress among viewers regarding Doug Davidson yet again. Since 2018 the actor who plays Paul Williams has not been a regular in Genoa City and yet the show continues to reference him. Each time they do, fans get their hopes up only to have them dashed. There is a phrase that older generations used to say which I will paraphrase: "Do your business or get off the pot." T

I will listen to my body signals and obey in the New Year
A New Year will soon be upon us and I decided long ago to not make resolutions that I could not carry out. This year my goal is simple and it is to take blocks of time when possible in order for my body to refresh itself. I might take a nap, or sit with my feet up. I may watch a movie and make sure I do not get up during the entirety of the film. Another option is to read a book for a solid hour without being disturbed.

M&M Christmas commercial is 25
M&M's and Santa: They do exist You know it's really the holiday season when the commercial airs where the Hershey Kisses play We wish you a merry Christmas and you see the M&M ad where Red and Santa both faint. This classic is now 25 years old and still filled with wonder as Santa Claus is near the tree as Red and Yellow M&M's walk into the room. Red says "He does exist" and Santa replies "They do exist" and both faint. This implies that each believes the other is only a myth until they come face to face.

Mama Mia that's a spicy meatball
Alka-seltzer: A memorable commercial A television commercial came to mind today that I thought was promoting Chef Boyardee Spaghetti and Meatballs. When I looked it up the 1969 ad was actually for Alka-Seltzer. This just shows how the mind can forget some details over a period of 5 decades. The actor in the ad was Jack Somack who was in two Broadway plays, Paris Is Out!, and The Prisoner of Second Avenue.
