Spooksville
It’s not Halloween if you’re not dancing! Doesn’t matter if you’re grooving in your living room, if your in a makeshift dungeon (that’s actually your friends basement) or an actual night club in Berlin- if the music isn’t right you’re not having a good time! Holiday events already have enough pressure on them to be something, but really it comes down to the music and the lighting set up. The darker the better.

Lloyd’s Uber Scary Halloween Playlist
“Create the soundtrack for the ultimate Halloween party.” Not just a challenge. A challenging challenge. Halloween, after all, doesn’t have the same wellspring of music as Christmas, yet a party requires more than a single song, like a “Happy Birthday” for a birthday party. And what of the tone? A Halloween party, conceivably, includes a wide range of participants – children, boisterous adults, wallflowers, the undead – each with their own musical tastes.

ECLECTIC MIX SEPTEMBER 21
Well it’s been a month of real opposites. We continued into a small short heat wave again, and had temperatures hitting the mid 20’s if you can believe it. Yip Scotland (well the central belt) was practically tropical! However like all good things they end, and the wet, windy weather that so stereotypical of Scotland reared its head again. The tree’s green’s gave way to all shades of red, gold and browns, before litterying our pavements and roads. But the flipside, its a great excuse to get used to the colder weather, and wrap up warmer, and take comfort sitting on the couch or being warm and cozy in bed while the wind and rain batter’s the windows.

Monster Mash
Ever since hearing songs like "Monster Mash," "Thriller," and my childhood Peter Pan 45 Record, "Dinner with Drac," I have loved Halloween, monsters and mayhem. I am certain that my Sister's theater acting, love of monster make-up, horror films, and Vincent Price; as well as, my Uncle's brilliant Halloween decoration displays, also had an impact on me.

Zombie Mash: Get Spooked At This Awesome Virtual Halloween Party!
For several years now, I’ve been a passionate metalhead! I love getting spooked with all kinds of heavy metal, punk, dark rap and screamo hits I’ve listened to for the last seven years. From listening to classic rock hits like Rattlesnake Shake by Motley Crüe and the most recent screamo hit like Rock ‘n’ Roll (Will Take You To The Mountain) by Skrillex, I’ve had multiple moments where I’ve been spooked!

The Festival of the Dead
It's the start of the Dark Half when the boundary to the Otherworld is at its weakest. The souls of the deceased, the Aos Sí, will move more easily into our world on this night; they will return to their former homes and loved ones for one night.

Spook-tacular Tunes: the Perfect Halloween Playlist
So, you've organised your costume, made plans with friends, prepared the candy, and delicately arranged a series of intricate decorations. Great! Now what? The playlist of course! No event or holiday season would be complete without an appropriately themed playlist of songs.
