I unfollowed over 200 Influencers/Celebrities on Instagram
Before I get started on why I decided to unfollow these celebrities and influencers I wanted to take a moment to link my story What I realized when I deleted Facebook. It was such an eye opening experience for me. Its been over 7 months since I got rid of facebook and I have still not looked back. I don't miss the toxicity of that platform, and anyone that knows me personally I keep in contact with via texts and phone calls. I'm not suggesting this is for everyone, but what I can say is if you're feeling drained or irritable try limiting your use and see what happens.

Learning to adult
I would love to use my past experiences to tell my story and give hope to those out there who need it. I want to be a voice to those who feel like they can’t speak and prove to them that they do have a voice. I want my story to prove that anyone can overcome barriers, just as I have. I want to make a change to our current homeless situation as well as provide stability and health to the community.

LEVANTINE
The large woman standing in front of the classroom announced before the slowly filling classroom, "Hello... and good morning, I will be your teacher my name is Matilda... Matilda Sayegh... for Levantine Arabiye. We will study the language and the culture... for Introductory FLA... Foreign Language Arabic 101 and intermediate FLA 102. You will need immersion for the local accent and local custom on your own time later. Let us begin."

I Wasn't Always a Dirty Girl
Damn. I just licked my fingers. Oh god, and I didn’t wash my hands when I came home, because I was too busy hunkering down to finish the work I’d started before I left. Now I probably have COVID. Remember when we only worried about germs and not a deadly virus? Oh, and I touched so many things on my errands today! Damn! That one little flick of the tongue to the tip of my fingers, fingers trying to separate two pieces of blank paper so that I could write notes on one. And now, I’m already feeling queasy.

Have You Ever Experienced Depression?
Depression! Who cares to hear about depression? I work with it every week in a group I facilitate. One person described the worst depression being when we go numb and feel nothing! We could care less about living or anything going on around us.

We All Lost Something When Words Became Too Powerful
Words aren’t supposed to hurt. The smallest, youngest of us, play with blocks printed with letters. We encourage them to make words, learn to speak, and express themselves. Somewhere along the way, words took on a new meaning in society. We lost when we started letting words hurt as much as sticks and stones or fists and guns.

Why I Donated Blood...
If you've been wondering what I've been up to lately, I was so grateful to share with the world - back when the golden Midwestern leaves littered the Northeastern roads of Indiana - that I had officially rejoined the American workforce! It was in my ideal field - the healthcare setting! Now, however, when I initially began writing this post and practicing in that field, I reside in a MUCH different State and time than that of my beloved home state of Illinois. The "Land of Lincoln," some say fondly. "Crook County!" other's sneer. I grew up FAST on BOTH sides of the South Suburban Chicagoland Region and Northeastern or Northwestern Indiana border! My oh my, how the times have changed - in terms of one mentally ill, young woman's life, circumstances, experiences, opportunities and challenges that she alone is EXPECTED to surmount and OVERCOME...
