fact or fiction
Is it science fact or science fiction? Futurism presents both sides to determine the truth.
The Old Neighborhood
The old neighborhood was nearly unrecognizable. Doors were no longer needed to enter once luxurious homes. Nor did once old homes even remotely resemble the past memories, which seem to be the only thing left between what we once had and what remains. The few of us that remained were astonished by how little was left.

A Day 100 Years from Now
Alarm rings I wake up, stretch, get out of bed and look at my old digital voice activated calendar appearing on the wall. The year is 2118. I just had a great sleep in my weightless pod. It's filled with pure oxygen. I take my synthetic pills for my meals of the day. They are the best way to get nutritional essentials as all food sources are in very low supply. I follow it with a triple filtered ecofriendly drink. It contains many of the nutrients my body needs. Then I shower with an echo friendly coconut spray.

How Will Artificial Intelligence Affect Our Daily Lives?
The future of artificial intelligence is more present than ever: We find it everywhere, in our cell phones as voice assistants; in our homes through intelligent speakers that connect an alarm. This is already a reality.

What if we have two suns
There are sunsets on other planets even more spectacular than the ones on Earth. What if we could see not just one, but two suns falling below the Earth’s horizon? Would our planet get much warmer with two stars heating it up? Would we ever experience nighttime again? Could our binary star system be able to sustain life?

The Golden Goddess and The Silver Serpent
Within the lands of Athánion, located on the northern end of Unan, lie two lakes. Lake Argentum, the smaller of the two lakes, shines with a silvery shimmer on its surface, which seems to get brighter when the moon occupies the night sky. Lake Aurum glows with a golden glimmer spanning the body of water, keeping a delicately warm temperature year round. The unusual coloring of these lakes could be attributed to mineral deposits from the surrounding area, but local folklore tells a different tale.

The Change
The people with power, money and status hoped things would return to normal. But the pandemic lasted too long. Thousands who had paid day by day to attend an office and bask in the status of not being one of those sweaty little people who worked outdoors, cleaned toilets or helped heal the sick learned that the little people mattered more to society than the squeaky clean office workers in bullshit jobs.

Summoned
Urug stares down at the lithe mage who had summoned him from the Place Beyond Places. Metallic dust had been set into an intricate circle and he’d roared out some incantations—a bit over-the-top in delivery, in Urug’s opinion. The next moment he’d found himself here: A dingy apartment with ancient shag carpet, a bunk bed whose lower mattress was now occupied by a number of dirty clothes, and a kitchen he didn’t even want to cast his gaze towards. Something was moving, he could swear.
