Smart home for autistic children
Aim of my idea was to conceive an idea and its implementation for autistic children to live in smart/intelligent home where they feel safe and can learn for their mental development. The Problem is to develop a mobile app & simulated smart environment which provides an interface with autistic children and smart/intelligent home connected with smart gadget. The solution that i thought would work is by making an aexa based home. This app allows you to access devices in your home. For example, if you are going out, and want to keep an eye on your child then you can connect to your CCTV cameras via Bluetooth/WiFi. Not only that but also you can connect through other devices like Echo dot and Alexa. You might know that Amazon Echo records and transmits audio once it thinks it hears it and that is where we bring this idea of knowing if your child is safe or not. As we all know, autism can lead to symptoms like shaking and having seizures. That is why we think that it is possible for Alexa to detect signals for when the child is distressed. It can then alert the parent via Bluetooth/GSM in a matter of minutes.I thought of designing an app which can develop the mind of an autistic child, where they can learn and also experience who they really are. This app let them explore themselves in another vision. However, it can also guide them like a digital parent that listens to worries and gives a helping hand.I made a prototype and I have simulated my smart home with the board having smart devices like
