Why 'Flashpoint' is Bad for the DCEU
Do you remember all those memes that show two nearly identical characters and say something to the effect of copying someone else's work? Yeah, here's the thing; Flashpoint has already been done. The CW series The Flash had Barry Allen kick off a version of Flashpoint and touched on the little ways that it screwed everything up. However, DC animated has also already done it, lifting straight from the source material, giving us now two perfectly serviceable versions of the story; one with big sweeping arcs and the other with continuity altering details.

Connecting Superman to Scripture
Over the years, the character of Superman has been a variety of things to many people of all walks of life, but when you boil down his character traits and look at what his specific role is, not just in the DC universe, but in general, you see a very familiar pattern.

Superhero or Supervillain?
I grew up reading comic books and watching Batman, Superman and the Green Hornet on TV. I even enjoyed Spiderman and the Incredible Hulk in movies, TV and in print. If I could go through a metamorphosis and change into someone else, who would I want to be? I know that I'd be the greatest superhero or super villain of all time, but exactly what would I be? Before I can answer that question, let us look at the qualities and characteristics I’d want in that super-powered individual.

Why Ben Affleck Is the Best Batman...So Far
Why Ben Affleck’s Batman might be the most important Batman EVER… I fully understand that the title of this piece alone is extremely devisive but hear me out. This is a Batman we have not seen on the big screen until now, and a lot of has to do with the creators giving Batman a universe in which to work. To better put that in perspective, let's first look at the versions of the caped crusader that have graced the theatres.

'Infinity War': Who Will Die!!
INFINITY WAR!!!! This movie will be released in my local cinema on the 26th of April this year, and you can be assured I will be going to see it. The end of an era that has been building and building from the original Iron Man film that aired in 2008. I, with many other marvel fans have been waiting ten years to see the climax of the marvel cinematic universe phase three. The time has come for the big purple dude to come in to the universe as more than a side villain and wreak havoc on the world. Our beloved avengers must team up with Spiderman, Doctor Strange, and the Guardians of the Galaxy to save the world. But the Mad Titan will not be defeated easily, he will take some of our heroes with him (if he is even defeated that is!).

'Doctor Strange 2' Might Not Be Happening
We've all seen the latest Infinity War trailer, which shows an ominous picture of the Sorcerer Supreme in some very serious trouble. While I, like most fans, suspected this to be just a tease and there's no way they would kill off such a character so soon after their initial introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, according to Benedict Cumberbatch, there may not necessarily be a Doctor Strange sequel in the near future.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ - Trailer Review
Wow. Just wow. I love a good trailer, but this takes the cake for excitement. Marvel have got us truly in the dark about the plotline of the film; yes we have the hint here and there but not enough to guess what will happen... WHICH IS GOOD! I’M LOOKING AT YOU, DC!

Lazy or Brilliant
Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, King Arthur, and Luke Skywalker… what do all of these characters have in common? If you guessed silly sounding names, you are… half right. The other thing they have in common are dead parents. Yes, one or more of the parental figures that made these characters has met an untimely demise and it’s a storytelling trope that’s as old as written literature, but we can expand that since in many cases the death of the parental figure wasn’t exactly what it seemed to be; we'll call that the “Dead from a certain point of view” clause in order for this discussion to move forward.

Let’s Discuss... 'Arrow' Season 5’s Downfalls.
Now to make this clear from the beginning: I loved Arrow Season 5. Was it my favourite season? No. Season 2 will always take that top spot, but this season was up there. My own quarrel? It didn’t go as far as it could have.

Top 5 Picks for Nightwing Movie
The last few DC films have not been good! That is the most common reviews I see about films such as Man of Steel, Batman vs Superman and Suicide Squad. Unlike most people I talk to, I actually enjoyed all of those films. I realise they have their flaws, but I think they are good stories with bad writing. However with the recent success of Wonder Woman scoring a 7.5 rating on IMDb and 92 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, compared to Batman vs Superman and Suicide Squad which scored in the low sixes on IMDb and 27 percent and 26 percent on Rotten Tomatoes respectively. I believe there is hope for the DCEU with some good writing and directing.
