These Scattered Thoughts

A poem and a song

By Rasma RaistersPublished about an hour ago 1 min read

Scattered thoughts,

like autumn leaves blown by the wind.

Lost dreams somewhere behind the clouds,

visions of happier times,

nothing to be done –

but once again to blow bubbles into the wind.

*

Scattered thoughts,

like sparkling bubbles,

dancing through the air,

come down upon the grass –

sparkling like glittering jewels.

*

Scattered thoughts,

of the days of you and me,

days we always thought would be,

before you went away.

Sending sweet love to you,

with every bubble swept away by the wind,

*

Scattered thoughts,

of the last time I saw you,

last look,

last smile,

sweet kisses shared on a moonlit night.

Dancing among the shadows,

in the garden where springtime flowers,

wafted sweet perfume.

Always till the light of day,

when the moon and the sun,

changed places

and we had to go on our way.

*

These scattered thoughts,

hold back the tears –

blowing bubbles that dance along with the wind.

While breezes blow love all around,

making my heart glow, I go on keeping the love alive.

Knowing that you see the bubbles glittering in the sun.

smiling upon me and the joy I find –

blowing bubbles into the wind.
