We Danced the Twist

The music struck, hips swung wild,

Laughs flew free, hearts beguiled.

He took my hand, spun me around,

Feet moved fast, no fear, no bound.

Sweat and thrill blended as one,

A reckless joy that could not be done.

Twisting, turning, we lost the night,

Bodies ignited, burning bright.

The floor a fire, the crowd a haze,

All vanished in our whirling blaze.

We clung together, dizzy, alive,

A fleeting moment no one could contrive.

He leaned close, breath on my ear,

The music thumped, the night sincere.

We laughed at rules, we laughed at time,

Twisting through life, rhythm and rhyme.

The lights went low, but we remained,

Swept by the pulse, wild and untamed.

Each step a spark, each glance a flame,

The Twist made our bodies one, unnamed.

We danced until the stars went blind,

Lost in the beat, nothing confined.

The world fell away, leaving our fire,

Desire and freedom climbing higher.

The song ended, but heat stayed on,

Moments like this can never be gone.

We danced the Twist, reckless and free,

And night itself bent to you and me.
