What Do A&D Look Like For You?
What a lot of individuals do now know is that Anxiety and Depression go hand in hand, a fact that a lot of people do not understand. Depression will have you too exhausted from nothing, really, and make you sleep all day. Anxiety will have your mind racing and make you stay up all night. For me personally, it starts with waking up. I hear my alarm go off and something inside me cries. I do not want to move, but I know that I have to. I have to get my day started, let my dog out, go to work, try not to appear lifeless so people do not ask me what is wrong, put on my best smile and deal with people I really do not want to be around, then I go home and do it all over again the next day.

This Is What Social Distancing With Depression Looks Like

But, specifically, I saw a meme that said something like “how sad is it that my life hasn’t changed at all since I started self-isolating”. A joke for introverts, I’m sure. But it felt true to me in this deeply uncomfortable way.

Overcast in Ithaca
Sometimes it is already cloudy when I wake up. I'll look out my window at the white oblivion outside. I cannot see the ground or any of the campus buildings. While I get ready, I live in a single room in limbo, a small universe occupied by myself, my slumbering roommate, and my cup of hot coffee.

How to deal with sufferers of depression.
Image by Anemone123 I have been blessed with the fact I've never been depressed nor suffered from depression. Believe me, it is a great fact of my life to have never been cursed with this debilitating disorder which is affecting millions of people. As I write these words, people everywhere are enduring depression. Luckily, I've never been on of those people.
