National Novel Writing Month Is Over for 2023. Top Story - December 2023.
Almost every day I would ask myself, why am I doing this again? And I would answer that it helps me with my writing discipline. To meet the goal of 50,000 words it is only about 1700 words a day. 'Only' is not the right word for it, however!

111th. Top Story - December 2023.
A few weeks ago I began thinking about what I wanted to write for my 100th piece, which at the time felt really far off. I had a number of ideas come to me, and much inspiration from reading many of your 100th pieces. Little did I know that the big 100 would come and go without me even realizing it. When that Senryu challenge hit I couldn’t stop myself, and before I knew it, my milestone piece was 17 syllables about texting my granny a bad word, which did later become a runner-up in the Snafu Senryu challenge, making it totally worth it! I am so tickled (speaking of granny, that was a phrase she used) that my 100th piece placed in a challenge. What a cool gift.

5K Thankfulness
Once again, I am celebrating a milestone. There are 5000 total reads on all my stories. This is a fantastic milestone because I never dreamed anyone would read my stories. This will be a thankful piece because I could never have accomplished this without you, my readers.

What is Scribble Writing?
What is scribble writing? Scribble writing is a very simple thing to explain. Scribble writing is what I call the writing I do when I don’t have the time to write something more substantial. Or it is often things that I write in between writing large, more immersive stories. Scribble writing is often where my poems come from. Sometimes they get published on their own. Other times I hold on to them until they ripen.

When I want Success
Since I have been in Cleveland I've not had the best luck looking for jobs. I've only ever had three the nursing home job as their part-time receptionist, Taco Bell Cantina (e.i went out of business.), McDonald's on the east side (didn't give me a schedule nor did they know I got hired), and a few others. It's not been the best track record until recently.

A basketball player who discovers he has a rare genetic mutation that gives him superpowers, but also attracts the attention of a sinister organization. . Content Warning.
In the heart of the championship game, the arena pulsated with the roar of the crowd. As I dribbled down the court, the seconds ticking away, I felt an electrifying surge within me. With a leap that defied gravity, I soared toward the basket, unleashing a dunk that left the spectators in awe. Little did I know, that in that moment of athletic prowess, I had set in motion a sequence of events that would change my life forever.

Ink, Sweat, and Tears: A Writer’s Tale of NaNoWriMo
Embarking on the journey of creating a novel is like setting sail on an uncharted sea, armed with nothing but a pen, paper, and one’s imagination. Well over thirteen years ago, I attempted Nanowrimo for the first time with nothing more than an idea and a used Alphasmart typewriter I purchased off of eBay. Since the book was recommended on the website, I also purchased Chris Baty’s book “No Plot, No Problem.” It’s the book that started the entire Nano craze. As we begin another November and National Novel Writing Month, I think about the steps that transformed the daunting task of novel creation into a reality.
