The Practice of Maintaining
Between two people, a gentle, understated connection is truly wonderful. I am increasingly convinced that a lasting relationship is not built on passionate, dramatic love, nor on one person constantly burning themselves out to give their all. Instead, it relies on minimal aggression, minimal confrontation, and minimal coercion. It thrives on abundant acceptance, permission, and simply treating the other person as a human being.
